Thomas is a Director for KWP – Konstruct West Partners.  He is one of the most world renowned experts in the field of Façade Technology and Consulting.  As a Registered Architect in the USA, Thomas has 20 years of Architectural/ Façade Consulting experience of which, the past 15 years have been dedicated solely to façade research, teaching and practice.  Thomas started his façade research at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, graduating with a Masters Degree with emphasis in Building Envelope Technology. He went on to practice and teach Façade Technology in the USA at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.  

In 2000 Thomas relocated to Asia working in Hong Kong. He focused his attention on Middle East and Asian projects working for Meinhardt Façade Technology as a Senior Façade Consultant and later as Director.  In 2005 he was instrumental in starting (KWP) which 5 years later is one of the largest Façade Consulting Firms in the world.  KWP has 5 office locations, with more than 50 ongoing projects and over 100 people.  Over the past two decades he has successfully complete more than 100 exterior wall projects throughout the world.  With this experience, he has gained expert knowledge of worldwide codes, materials, and understands strengths and shortcomings of Material Manufacturers and Façade Contractors in all major markets.

His façade expertise includes; green building solutions, curtain wall & glass wall tension systems design, aluminum & stone cladding, and pre-cast design.  He has international design and construction experience in USA, Europe, Asia, and The Middle East. 

Shawn is a registered architect in the UK and a LEED AP with a specialty in Building Design and Construction.He has been in Hong Kong since 1994. Shawn has played a major role in the development of Hong Kong Architecture and Facade Design. He has worked with several internationally renowned Design Architects in the UK and USA. Shawn studied Architecture at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and Ryerson Polytechnic University where he developed extensive knowledge in Building Envelope Technology.

Shawn has facade design experience from schematic/ detail design through to the construction completion stage on headquarter buildings, hotel, residential, commercial office and retail, and other large scale mixed use projects. He has worked on projects in the UK, China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Australia and the Middle East. 

Alfonso Avila

Alfonso is the KWP (Konstruct West Partners) Middle East Regional Director and is based in Dubai, UAE. Alfonso graduated from The University of Detroit,School of Architecture and Engineering at the top of his class. He worked as an Architect and Façade Consultant in the United Statesfor 15 years before joining KWP as the Middle East Director.

He has international design and construction experience in USA, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, and The Middle East. With this vast amount of working experience, Alfonso has developed an expert knowledge in the field of Façade Consulting and continues to develop innovative façade solutions for all projects he undertakes.He is multi-lingual and is a vital part of KWP’s International success story. His façade expertise includes; green building solutions, curtain wall, double skin facade, aluminum & stone cladding, and pre-cast design. 

Steve Zhou

Mr. Zhou is one of the most experienced Façade Engineers in China. His academic qualifications come from the prestigious Tongji University, where he graduated top of his class in Engineering. His specialization is in Engineering of Tall Structures.

He is a registered structural engineer in China and his academic qualifications come from prestigious Chinese Universities, where he graduated top of his class. His specializations include; glass wall tension systems, unitized curtain wall, stick curtain wall, stone cladding, aluminum cladding and green building solutions

Leo is the KWP China Chengdu General Manager and a Senior Facade Consultant. Leo graduated from The University of Sichuan, School of Engineering at the top of his class. He has worked as a Facade Consultant in China for 8 years before joining KWP.

Chuck Yuan  Business Development General Manager - South China B.B.A  (Hons)

Chuck is the KWP Business Development General Manager for South China. He graduated from Xi'an Fanyi University, School of Business at the top of his class. He has worked in the Facade Industry in China and Dubai for 6 years before joining KWP. Chuck has significant international managerial experience in China and Dubai. Having worked on significant projects Burj Khalifa Tower and Sama Tower in Dubai.

	Chris Zhang  Business Development General Manager - North China B.A (Hons)
Chris is the KWP Business Development General Manager for North China. He graduated from The Hebei University, Majoring in English and graduated at the top of his class. He has worked in the Facade Industry in China and Dubai for 5 years before joining KWP. Chris has significant international managerial experience in China, US and Dubai.
