This tower is located on the site of the former Passenger Boat Terminal of Shanghai’s Huangpu River.  International Harbor Terminal Tower is just one of many elaborate projects being developed on the site.  This high performance facade consists of one of the first double skin systems in Shanghai and is one of the most high tech facades to grace the Shanghai skyline.  The tower is triangular in plan, curving on all faces and corners.  The second skin incorporates diagonal crossing mullions attached to a light weight steel structure.

The project required full thermal modeling and 3D analysis to resolve the facade system.  The complexity of the facade demonstrates KWP’s ability to resolve complex architectural designs as well as provide the highest performance available using the latest technology.

KWP served as Exterior Wall Consultant to the Architect from schematic design thru tender documentation.
