Tianjin Station consists of a renovation to the existing south station as well as a large additional new building.  The renovation to the existing station building introduces a new design concept while still respecting the old station design.  The new building has many characteristics of the old building but incorporates several state of the art facade systems such as; long span skylights, semi-unitized curtain wall with site fixed stone as well as a glass wall with stainless steel fin and custom cast point fixing supports.

KWP worked closely with the Third Railway Institute in developing the Architectural Facade.  KWP also provided full scope facade consultancy service for the entire project.
